During the inspections, officials intercepted several tractors, tipper lorries, and transport vehicles suspected of carrying sand without valid permits. The vehicles were thoroughly examined, and documents were verified on the spot. Authorities seized multiple vehicles found violating mining regulations and initiated legal proceedings against the operators.
Senior district officials stated that illegal sand mining causes serious environmental damage, affects river ecosystems, and leads to significant revenue losses for the government.
