Following continuous heavy rainfall over the past several hours, several low-lying areas across Eluru District experienced waterlogging, causing temporary disruptions to road traffic and normal public movement. Municipal authorities, disaster response teams, and police personnel were immediately deployed to monitor the situation and provide assistance to affected residents.
Officials from the Revenue Department, Municipal Administration, and Disaster Management Authority conducted field inspections in vulnerable areas to assess the extent of flooding and ensure that drainage systems functioned efficiently. Water pumps were installed at major waterlogged junctions to speed up the removal of stagnant water, while sanitation workers cleared blocked drains to improve water flow.
