The Eluru District Agriculture Department has initiated a large-scale certified seed distribution program to provide farmers with high-quality seeds ahead of the upcoming cultivation season. Under the program, farmers received certified paddy, maize, pulses, groundnut, and vegetable seeds through government distribution centers established across various mandals in the district. Agriculture officials verified farmer registrations and ensured transparent distribution of seed packets under government subsidy schemes.
Experts from the Agriculture Department conducted awareness sessions on seed selection, crop planning, sowing techniques, pest management, and efficient fertilizer usage.
