The Eluru District Administration organized a comprehensive mock disaster management drill involving multiple emergency response agencies to evaluate preparedness for floods, fire accidents, earthquakes, and other emergency situations. The exercise was conducted at a public venue with the participation of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Fire & Emergency Services, Police Department, Health Department, APSPDCL, Municipal Administration, and Civil Defence volunteers.
The drill simulated various emergency scenarios, including rescue operations, evacuation procedures, first aid, firefighting techniques, and disaster communication systems. Rescue personnel demonstrated the safe evacuation of injured victims, emergency medical response, and coordination between different government departments during crisis situations.
Senior district officials observed the exercise and emphasized the importance of regular disaster preparedness training to minimize the impact of emergencies. Ambulance teams, firefighters, police officers, and disaster response personnel worked together using modern rescue equipment, emergency vehicles, drones, and communication systems to showcase rapid response capabilities.
