The Eluru District Administration has initiated a large-scale cleanliness drive covering municipalities, villages, educational institutions, government offices, and public spaces across the district. The campaign aims to improve sanitation, create awareness about waste management, and encourage citizens to actively participate in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
District officials, municipal staff, sanitation workers, students, volunteers, and members of local organizations participated in the campaign by cleaning roads, parks, bus stands, marketplaces, and public buildings. Awareness rallies were also organized to educate people about proper waste segregation, plastic reduction, and responsible disposal of garbage.
During the campaign, officials emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene to prevent seasonal diseases and improve public health. Residents were encouraged to use dustbins, avoid littering, and support the government’s Swachh Bharat Mission initiatives.
The District Collector appreciated the efforts of sanitation workers and volunteers, stating that public participation plays a vital role in achieving sustainable cleanliness. Officials also announced that similar awareness programs and cleanliness drives would continue regularly across the district.
