The Eluru District Police achieved another significant success by solving a series of gold chain snatching incidents reported in different parts of the district. Following multiple complaints from victims, a special police team was formed to investigate the cases using CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and intelligence gathered from local informants.

After an intensive investigation, police identified and arrested four accused who were allegedly involved in chain snatching activities. During the operation, officers recovered several gold chains, motorcycles used in the crimes, mobile phones, and other materials connected to the investigation. Police officials stated that the accused primarily targeted elderly women and individuals walking alone during the early morning and evening hours.

Senior police officers informed the media that criminal cases have been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the Indian criminal laws. Further investigation is underway to determine whether the suspects were involved in similar offences in neighboring districts.

Police advised residents, especially senior citizens, to remain alert while walking in isolated areas, avoid displaying valuable jewellery in public, and immediately report any suspicious activities through the police emergency helpline. Officials also highlighted the importance of CCTV surveillance and community cooperation in preventing street crimes.

The successful operation demonstrates Eluru Police’s commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring swift action against criminals. Authorities assured citizens that regular patrolling, surveillance, and special crime prevention drives will continue across the district to enhance law and order.
